As a Southern California native, Hollywood and filmmaking has had a ubiquitous presence in my life. Growing up feeling like a film nerd, something finally clicked in my brain when my high school Film Aesthetics teacher told me anyone could have a career in the film industry. Filmmaking is something that I’ve dedicated my entire life to. I graduated in 2023 with a BA in Documentary from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University. I’ve dabbled in every key role on numerous sets, from cinematographer, production designer, editor, director… you name it, I’ve probably done it once or twice. My current vocation is producing and directing— I’ve come to the conclusion that finding story and guiding it are the best opportunities to hone my creative energy. I don’t discriminate between narrative and documentary projects, though I always find myself immersed in in the stories of strangers, daydreaming of a way to get them in front of a camera. I find that documentary allows me to work more collaboratively, with my crew and with my subjects— something that is crucial to my creative process.

When I’m not working on my own films, I still find a way to be involved on set. For the last two years, I have had the privilege of being a BTS (behind the scenes) photographer on multiple Chapman sets. This role really allows for a fun challenge in documentary photography, finding the intimate moments between director and actor, catching the DoP deep in thought about the lighting set up, or even snapping the scurrying feet of the production designer and their fleet of PA’s.

Currently, I am in my first year of film festivals with my most recent short film Sincero. My crew and I were proud to premier at Newport Beach Film Festival and are looking forward to an exciting year!
